2019 CCPIO Cleveland Dine Around

Barley House
Irish‐themed restaurant with well‐priced food and drinks. Mostly sandwiches and bowls, but a few larger meal options. Large bar and ample seating, including an outdoor patio. Three blocks from the Marriott.

Bar Louie
“We proudly serve shareable, mouthwatering, chef‐inspired grub, craft cocktails & local beers that will rock your taste buds.” Moderately priced food and drinks with an open and fun atmosphere. Two blocks from the Marriott.

East 4th Street
Cleveland’s food mecca. This two block long “alley” is blocked off from traffic and features numerous eateries. These include restaurants owned be such celebrity chefs as Michael Symon (Mabel’s BBQ & Lola) and Jonathan Sawyer (The Greenhouse Tavern). There is also Saigon (Vietnamese), The Corner Alley (Americana and bowling), Zocalo Taquileria (Mexican), and several others. This strip can get crowded when the Indians are in town, but mostly for pre‐game drinking. It’s worth a walk over just to experience the atmosphere. This is just two blocks from the Marriott.

Masthead Brewing
Masthead Brewing Company is located in the historic Bryant Building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The taproom is a completely open floorplan with high ceilings and features 300 seats, a 100 long bar, and an additional 50 seat dog friendly patio with a view of downtown Cleveland. Masthead includes a full bar and kitchen focusing on American and Belgian style beers, Neapolitan wood‐fired pizza, and a barrel aged beer program, which utilizes exclusively allocated whiskey barrels from top‐rated distilleries. About a four‐block walk.

Jack Casino
The Jack Casino is located in the former Higbees Department Store building which can be seen in the opening scenes of the film “A Christmas Story.” The casino has 1,609 slot machines, 119 table games, and 35 electronic table games. It has collaborated with dozens of downtown Cleveland restaurants for dining options. One block from the Marriott. This is just small sampling of the dozens of places within walking distance of the Marriott. People are welcome to talk to me if they are looking for something specific or thoughts on walking distance.
